Rodrigo Goulart

Rodrigo Hayashi Goulart is a veterinarian and politician affiliated with the Social Democratic Party (PSD). In the 2024 municipal elections, he was elected to his third term as a city councillor of São Paulo. Among the causes he champions are animal welfare, health, mobility, urban development, tourism, events, and the promotion of sports and culture. He represents the Catholic community, micro and small entrepreneurs, and the Japanese and Arab communities in Brazil. He served as the rapporteur for the project to revise the Zoning Law, which regulates land subdivision, use, and occupancy, and also led the mid-term review of the Strategic Master Plan, both of which are essential for the city's planning and development. Goulart also headed the rapporteurships for the bills promoting changes in the Urban Intervention Plans (UIPs) for the Jurubatuba Arc and the Central Sector, as well as in the Faria Lima and Água Espraiada Urban Operations, reaffirming his commitment to the sustainable and orderly growth of the capital. He is president of the Extraordinary Committee for Supporting the Development of Tourism, Leisure, and Gastronomy, and is a member of the Committee for Urban, Metropolitan, and Environmental Policy.
