Guilherme Afif Domingos

He served as the Coordinator of the Transition Team for Governor-elect Tarcísio de Freitas and was also the coordinator of Tarcísio's campaign agenda. Between 2019 and 2022, he served as a Special Advisor to Paulo Guedes at the Ministry of Economy. A graduate in Business Administration from the Colégio São Luís School of Economics, he has worked for micro and small enterprises for over 40 years, having created the Simples tax regime/system, which benefits millions of small and medium entrepreneurs. He was the CEO and President of Sebrae Nacional (2015 to 2018), served as President of the São Paulo Commercial Association four times, and led the Federation of Commercial Associations of the State of São Paulo (Facesp) and the Confederation of Commercial Associations of Brazil (CACB). In the São Paulo State government, he was the State Secretary for Economic Development, Science, and Technology (2011) and the State Secretary for Employment and Labour Relations (2007 to 2010). He was the Minister-Chief of the Secretariat for Micro and Small Enterprises of the Presidency of the Republic (2013 to 2015) and Vice-Governor of São Paulo (2011 to 2014). He was also a candidate for President of the Republic in 1989.
