Fabricio Cobra

Fabricio Cobra Arbex holds degrees in Law (USP) and Economics (FAAP), a Master's degree in Law from PUC/SP, and a Postgraduate qualification in Public Management from Insper. He has extensive experience in the public sector, having served as Deputy State Secretary of the Civil House (2015-2017), State Secretary for Tourism (2017-2018), Subprefect of Vila Mariana (2019-2020), Secretary of Management for the City of São Paulo (2021-2022), and Secretary of the Civil House for the City of São Paulo (2022-2024). On January 1, 2025, he was appointed Secretary of the Municipal Subprefectures Secretariat (SMSUB). Fabricio has also been a university professor and Vice-President of the Consumer Commission of the OAB/SP (Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo Chapter), in addition to being involved with the RenovaBR, RAPS, and Agora! movements—civil society initiatives aimed at fostering new political leadership.

Urban Redevelopment and Sustainable Transformation: The Case Study of São Paulo’s New Center

The panel discusses the challenges and opportunities of urban redevelopment as a tool to promote sustainability, social inclusion, and innovation. Using the example of the New Center of São Paulo, strategies will be explored to redevelop public spaces, stimulate the local economy, and integrate green solutions into urban projects. The session will also address how public policies, partnerships, and community participation can make urban centers more vibrant and resilient.
