Henguel Ricardo Pereira

In addition to his military career, Colonel PM Henguel holds a bachelor's degree in Legal Sciences from Cruzeiro do Sul University (UNICSUL), graduating in 2005. He also earned a Civil Engineering degree from Guarulhos University (UNG) in 2008 and a degree in Occupational Safety Engineering from the same institution in 2009. Continuing his professional development in policing, he completed a Professional Master's Degree in Police Sciences of Security and Public Order in 2012, and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Security and Public Order Sciences in 2018. Over more than three decades of service, he has distinguished himself through his competence, dedication, and commitment to public safety. Leveraging his strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and strategic profile, he was appointed Chief of the Military Household of the State Governor's Office and State Coordinator of Civil Protection and Defense on April 25, 2022. In this role, he continues to make a decisive contribution to the state's institutional security, providing diligent and responsible direct advisory services to the Chief Executive of São Paulo. He also currently serves as president of CONGEPEDEC—the National Council of State Civil Protection and Defense Managers.
