Eduardo Humberto Ditt

Eduardo H. Ditt is the Executive Director of IPÊ – Institute for Ecological Research, a civil society organization that develops socio-environmental projects across Brazil’s biomes. He holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering from ESALQ/USP, a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Procam/USP, and a PhD from Imperial College London. His main responsibilities include overseeing conservation projects and coordinating IPÊ’s institutional agenda. Eduardo is also a professor at ESCAS, the educational branch of IPÊ, which offers various courses related to the environmental agenda, including a master’s program in Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainability.

Sustainable Pathways: The Largest Collaborative Reforestation Case of the Atlantic Forest

Forest restoration is one of the most effective strategies for climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation. In this panel, we will explore and discuss the ARR Corridors of Life project, which recreates ecological corridors in the Atlantic Forest, connecting forest fragments in the Pontal do Paranapanema region. The initiative demonstrates how uniting companies, government, and civil society can generate positive impacts on climate, health, and socioeconomic development.
