Carlos Eduardo Cerri

Carlos Eduardo Cerri is an Agronomist with a master's degree, doctorate, and postdoctoral training in soil science and environmental sciences. He is currently a Full Professor at the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP) and Coordinator of CCARBON/USP (Center for Tropical Agriculture Carbon Studies). His research focuses on soil carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, mathematical modeling applied to soil science, agriculture, and global climate change. He is an Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow, and one of five Brazilians included in the British Agency Reuters' list of the "Top World's Most Influential Climate Scientists."
