As Director, Market and Client Relations, Cassio is responsible for managing engagement policies and protocols for Verra stakeholders and carbon credit buyers, promoting Verra programs as solutions for decarbonization strategies, identifying new approaches for value creation and revenue streams, driving stakeholder engagement forums, assisting clients on the implementation of Verra programs, and developing new and improved services linked to market trends and insights. Before joining Verra, Cassio worked in several sustainability standard-setting organizations. In these roles, he focused on developing standard requirements and market engagement strategies for rainforest conservation, regenerative agriculture, and net-positive certified commodities in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, supporting millions of farmers and thousands of certified projects.
