Danilo Veras

Danilo Veras is a professional specialized in Legal and Economic Regulation, with an emphasis on Competition, Public Procurement, and Government Contracts. Throughout his career, he has built a broad dialogue with regulatory agencies and both State and Federal Courts of Accounts. He began his journey at Maersk in 2023, serving as Head of Government Relations for all Maersk Group companies in Latin America. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has led the Business Development and Government Relations areas of some of Brazil’s largest companies — his most recent role before joining Maersk was at Rumo. He also served as President of the Port Authority of Santos from 2019 to 2020. Graduated in Law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), he holds a postgraduate degree in Business Management and Finance from Ibmec and a master’s degree in Economic Law and Political Economy from the University of São Paulo (USP).
