Lia Palm holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo and a master's degree in Public Policy and Government Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. She serves as Agriculture Coordinator at the Municipal Secretariat of Economic Development and Labor and is a tenured Public Policy and Government Management Analyst (APPGG) for the City of São Paulo. She works on implementing policies to strengthen and promote diverse forms of urban agriculture in São Paulo as a multidimensional strategy to foster social inclusion, improve quality of life and income, ensure food and nutritional security, and contribute to environmental preservation, climate change mitigation, and adaptation.
