Lylian Coelho

With 20 years of experience in international companies within an intercultural environment, she has overseen major projects across 54 countries in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. She is the WFEO SDG9 Representative to the CEE (Committee of Environment Engineers) and a Task Force member at UN Water. She is also a member of the management committee for the French water and sanitation partnership network (PfE - Partenariat Français de l’eau). She is currently the Contracts Manager for the Africa and Partnerships zone at the SUEZ group, a role she took after serving for 5 years as Development Director for the 'Water for All' International Executive Program, which is aimed at managers and directors in the public sector in Asia and Africa. She has served as an Observer on the Gender and Climate Change Committee for the UNFCCC and the United Nations Conference of Parties. She is the co-founder of Womenvai, a platform for innovative, women-led projects in the Environment and High-Tech sectors. In 2025, she won the UNECE PPP award with SDGs in Belgrade for the best public-private partnership project linked to the SDGs.

Sanitation for All: Solutions for Traditional and Vulnerable Communities

Universal access to basic sanitation remains one of the greatest challenges for overcoming social inequalities and promoting health and dignity. In rural territories or areas experiencing vulnerability, such as slums and stilt-house communities, the obstacles are even greater. The panel's objective is to share experiences and identify ways to ensure sanitation reaches everyone, respecting cultural and environmental specificities, and contributing to building a more just and sustainable future.
