Marilia Marton holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and a master’s degree in Smart and Sustainable Cities from Universidade Nove de Julho (UNINOVE). Her professional career is marked by extensive experience in the public sector, particularly in leadership positions in the areas of culture and urban management. Throughout her career, Marilia has worked at various levels of government, including positions at the City Hall and Municipal Chamber of São Caetano do Sul, as well as at the São Paulo State Department of Culture, where she served as Chief of Staff. She is currently the State Secretary for Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries of São Paulo, leading innovative public policies and initiatives to promote culture and the creative economy. Recognized for her strong academic background, strategic vision, and dedication to driving transformation through culture, Marilia Marton stands out as a public manager deeply committed to valuing the cultural sector and fostering the sustainable development of cities.
