Naira Santa Rita Wayand

Petropolitan, climate survivor and displaced person from the extreme weather event in Petrópolis (2022), specialist in sustainability and climate change, and researcher on displacement, race, and intersectionality in international networks such as RIPERC. She teaches the course Emergency and Climate Justice at PUC-MG and is the founder of the DuClima Institute. She has solid experience in developing impact strategies, leadership training, and political advocacy. Currently, she serves as Coordinator of Climate Justice and the Amazon at Oxfam Brazil.
