Plínio Ribeiro is the co-founder and CEO of Biofílica Ambipar Environment, a pioneering company in Brazil’s carbon project development. In addition to his role as CEO at Biofílica Ambipar, he is also the co-founder of the Brazil NBS Alliance, representing around 15 project developers united by the goal of creating a more reliable carbon market with high environmental integrity. Plínio is also a founding member of Instituto Escolhas, an NGO dedicated to advancing Brazil’s environmental agenda, and serves as the head of the Sustainability Committee at the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB). He holds a degree in Business Administration from INSPER and a master’s degree in Public Administration and Environmental Policy from Columbia University and the Earth Institute (USA).

Sustainable Pathways: The Largest Collaborative Reforestation Case of the Atlantic Forest

Forest restoration is one of the most effective strategies for climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation. In this panel, we will explore and discuss the ARR Corridors of Life project, which recreates ecological corridors in the Atlantic Forest, connecting forest fragments in the Pontal do Paranapanema region. The initiative demonstrates how uniting companies, government, and civil society can generate positive impacts on climate, health, and socioeconomic development.
