Roberval Tavares

Currently, he is the Executive Director of Engineering and Innovation at Sabesp. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Mogi das Cruzes (UMC), a postgraduate degree in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (USP), an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and a specialization in Leadership for Innovation from MIT. He has worked for 31 years in the sanitation sector, where he served as a consultant, manager, superintendent, and Director of Operations and Maintenance at Sabesp. He is a specialist in agile and innovative methods for operational efficiency. He led the implementation of performance models in the areas of loss reduction, energy efficiency, sewage collection, and exponential IoT. In addition to his experience in the sanitation sector, he was President of the Paulista Institute for Excellence in Management (IPEG) and National President of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES).

Urban Rivers: Pathways to Decontamination and Recovery
