A graduate in Automation and Control Engineering, Rodrigo Kenji de Souza Ashiuchi specialized with an MBA in Business Management and a postgraduate degree in Public Management. Ashiuchi has been actively involved in politics for over 20 years and, in 2016, won the mayoral election in Suzano. In the following election, in 2020, he was re-elected in the first round with 82.3% of the valid votes. This made him the most-voted politician in the city of Suzano to date, and the fourth-highest-growing re-election candidate in Brazil compared to the 2016 elections.
