The “Hydrogen Route in São Paulo” guided tour offers a unique immersion in the initiatives that place Brazil in global leadership in the energy transition. The route begins at the pilot plant for producing hydrogen from ethanol, developed by the Center for Research and Innovation in Greenhouse Gases (RCGI-USP) and installed at the University of São Paulo. The first in the world with this configuration, the plant uses an innovative technology that converts ethanol — a renewable and widely available source — into low-carbon hydrogen, helping to strengthen Brazil's role as an international reference in sustainable energy solutions and the strategic use of ethanol as a decarbonization vector. Afterwards, participants will visit the Hydrogen Laboratory (LabH2) of the Technological Research Institute (IPT). Recently opened, LabH2 has state-of-the-art equipment for the production, storage and supply of hydrogen-powered vehicles — such as buses, cars and trucks. The visit also includes the Center for Future Energy (CENF), focused on research and development of technologies that bring together science and industrial application, essential for the advancement of mobility and low-carbon industry. | Boarding time: 9:30 am | Landing time at Summit: 1:00 pm | Bilingual: Yes
